Booking with a friend? We can make it easy.

Not a fan of chasing payments from your friends? No worries - we can do that for you!

You can book your accommodation with a 50% deposit, then we'll use the email address supplied for your friend to send them their own payment request for their share of the booking.

All payments must be completed within 7 days of the original booking. If the booking hasn't been paid in full by then, we'll release the accommodation back for sale and automatically refund any payments already made.

What am I responsible for with the Kombi?

The Kombi is hired to you much like a standard hire car. You'll be responsible for collecting and returning the Kombi on time, fuel, and taking reasonable care of the vehicle throughout your trip. You'll also be responsible for driving safely and following all applicable road rules. Full pickup and return instructions will be provided before your trip.

Where do I collect and return the Kombi?

The Kombi will be collected from the Bellarine Peninsula on Friday before you drive down to Lorne. You'll then return it to the Bellarine Peninsula by Sunday evening. Exact pickup and return details will be provided before your trip.

Is fuel included?

No. Fuel is at your own cost. You'll collect the Kombi with the agreed fuel level and return it with the same fuel level.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do I need to be a surfer to attend?
Absolutely not! This is for everyone! You don't need to be an experienced surfer, or even a surfer at all. The Weekender is designed for women who are surf-curious, keen to try something new, or regular frothers simply looking for a fun weekend away by the coast. Friends, couples, families and solo travellers are all welcome.

Do I have to come with a group?
No. You can come solo, with your besties, or bring your whole group of friends. If you're flying solo, this is the perfect way to find some lovely humans to hang out with across the weekend. Our HH catch ups and group chat are there to help you find your crew for workshops, surf sessions and festival adventures.

Can men come?
Yes! While the Great Ocean Road Women's Surf Fest is centred around women, our Festival Weekender is open to everyone. Please note that some festival activities are run specifically for women, such as certain surf lessons or competitions, and participation in these is determined by the festival organisers.

Can children come?
Yes. Children are welcome, however anyone under 18 must stay in the Kombi with their parent or legal guardian, who is responsible for them at all times.

Can I just book accommodation directly myself?
Yes, absolutely! You can organise your own accommodation and put together your own surf weekend. The Festival Weekender is for those who'd rather have the organising taken care of for them, while getting much more than just a place to sleep. We’ll sort your accommodation, breakfast each morning and the social side of the weekend, so you can simply turn up and enjoy it. It's the best way to meet new people, find your festival buddies (and maybe new surf buddies), join our social events, and be part of the HH crew for a really fun weekend by the sea.

Do I need to book festival activities separately?
Yes. Your Festival Weekender booking does not automatically reserve places in festival workshops, surf lessons, yoga classes, competitions or other activities. You'll need to book these directly through the Great Ocean Road Women's Surf Fest, and places are subject to availability.

Can my Festival Weekender booking get me off a waiting list?
Unfortunately not. We have no control over festival activity bookings or waiting lists, so booking accommodation with us does not give you priority access. If something you'd like to attend is full, you'll need to join the relevant waiting list directly through the festival.

What if an activity I want to do is already full?
Keep an eye on the festival website and any relevant waiting lists for cancellations. We'll also have plenty happening across the weekend, so there will be lots to get involved in even if you don't get into everything on your wish list.

Can I bring my dog?
Sorry, no pets are permitted at the Festival Weekender. If you have a registered service animal, let us know and we'll contact the park to see what can be arranged.

Can I have a campfire?
The caravan park has ultimate discretion over this. If they allow it for your site, they will require you to use firewood and a fire pit hired directly from Lorne Foreshore Caravan Park. Outside fire pits and fires are not permitted. Firewood purchase and fire pit hire are available from the caravan park for an additional cost.

How does booking with a friend work?
You can secure your accommodation with a 50% deposit and provide the email address of your friend. We'll then send them their individual payment request for their share of the booking.

What do I need to bring?

Your Kombi comes ready for your weekend adventure, including cooking and camping equipment, so you'll just need to bring your personal belongings, food and anything else you need for your stay. Full details of what's included in your Kombi will be provided before your trip.

Where exactly am I staying?
All Festival Weekender accommodation is within the Lorne Foreshore Caravan Park, right next to the festival site. This means you can easily wander between your Kombi and the festival throughout the weekend.

Is breakfast included?
Yes! Breakfast is included each morning of your stay, with all dietary requirements catered for. Grab something delish and kick your morning off with the other Honu Honi crew, getting psyched for everything the festival has in store for you that day.

Can I cancel or transfer my booking?
Bookings are non-refundable, however they can be transferred to another person at no cost by contacting our team. Please get in touch as soon as possible if you need to transfer your booking so we can update the booking details.
